Marman Douglas Terry

— Marman Douglas Terry, 92, died Feb. 8, 2019, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital, DeRidder, La.

He was born to Hugh and Bessie (Churchill) Terry on May 1, 1926, in the home in Borger, Texas. He grew up in west Texas, the seventh of nine children. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His schooling began in west Texas and finished in northwest Arkansas after moving. He spent four years at the University of Arkansas, graduating with a business degree. He was a USDA inspector for chicken plants. He married Lois Zismann on June 29, 1962, and they spent 56 happy years together.

He is survived by his wife; two children, David Terry and wife Erlene of Colcord, Okla., and Cheryl Holdeman and husband Adrian of DeRidder, La.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Gentry Mennonite Church, Gentry. Burial will follow at Mennonite Cemetery in Gentry. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Gentry Mennonite Church. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
