GENTRY -- On Saturday, Feb. 2, Gentry band students traveled to the University of Central Arkansas for their All-State Concert and Jazz auditions.
The students who tried out for the concert were Autumn Broglen (11), Josh Harris (11), Jaiden Lothes (11) and Parker McCollum (12). Lothes and McCollum were the only ones who tried out for All-State Jazz.
The student who made the All-State Concert was Parker McCollum. He made First Band, Third Chair, and was an alternate for Jazz.
"I had a great time seeing all my friends in other regions and spending time with wonderful musicians who I look forward to working with," said McCollum.
The All-State Clinic was on Tuesday (after press time).
