GENTRY -- Police arrested Stone Douglas Faulkenberry, 22, of 309 S. Collins in Gentry, on Dec. 28, in connection with a domestic battery incident which is alleged to have occurred on Dec. 18 or Dec. 19 in Gentry.

According to police reports, Faulkenberry is alleged to have spanked a 3-year-old child, causing bruising, because the juvenile was crying. Stone was charged in connection with domestic battering in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree, according to police reports.

Sheriff's Office

• Scotty Ray Wills, 35, of 21960 W. Arkansas 102 in Decatur, was arrested Saturday in connection with aggravated assault on a family or household member. Wills was being held Saturday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Accident investigation

Police in Gentry were also investigating a Dec. 27, 2018, accident on Arkansas Highway 59 between a tractor-trailer rig and a passenger car. According to police reports, a passenger car driven by Teresa Obduski-Giordano of Rogers was southbound and attempting to make a left-hand turn into the Wooden Spoon Restaurant when it was struck by a southbound truck driven by Anthony Wilson of Joplin, Mo.

Obduski-Giordano was transported to the hospital following the accident and later released.

According to police reports, it was uncertain if Obduski-Giordano was attempting to make a left-hand turn from the inside lane or from the turn lane. Wilson said Obduski-Giordano's vehicle changed lanes in front of him and then braked to make a turn from the passing lane. Wilson was cited for following too closely.
