Two will vie for queen title in Gentry at Friday ceremonies

GENTRY -- Gentry High School seniors Jaydon Jarnagan and Madison Ward will be vying for the title of queen at Gentry's basketball coronation ceremonies on Friday night. The crowning ceremonies are scheduled for 5:15 p.m. in the gymnasium at Gentry High School.

In addition to the two seniors, other maids participating include junior maids Kinley Hays, Raegan Jude, Ariel Nix, Meledy Owens, Ahrya Reding and Heidi Vinson; sophomore maids Randi Jo Bolinger, Alexis Fowler, Ashlyn Little, Halle Reid, Cameron Thorburn, Emily Toland, Darien Welch and Jaiden Wilmoth; and kindergarten mascots Sakari Hanson and Cooper Hillis.

The theme for this year's festivities is a music theme, "We Got the Beat." Students have been participating in dress-up days throughout the week.

A pep rally is also planned for 2:15 in the gym on Friday.

The Pioneers will play the Prairie Grove Tigers, following coronation ceremonies at 6 p.m. The Lady Pioneer game will follow.
