The annual Gentry Chamber of Commerce Quilt Show continues through Friday in the McKee Community Room at Gentry Public Library. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and admission is free. NAGS to meet on Jan. 28

The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 South Main Street in Bentonville. Leah Whitehead, president of the Benton County Historical Society, will discuss the resources available for research at The Schoolhouse, the Society museum. Gentry Awards Banquet

The Gentry Chamber of Commerce Awards banquet is set for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the Wooden Spoon Restaurant in Gentry. Tickets ($25 per person) may be ordered by contacting the Chamber office, 212 E. Main Street, or calling 479-736-2358.

First Baptist holds

food pantry in Decatur

First Baptist Church, located at 213 E. Roller Avenue in Decatur, holds a community food pantry on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the church at 479-752-3514.

TOPS meet in Gentry

Gentry TOPS AR113, a nonprofit group which promotes healthy weight loss, meets every Monday at the First Christian Church Fellowship Room, Second and Giles, with a weigh in at 2:15 p.m. and the meeting at 3 p.m. There is a small fee to join but the first meeting is free.

Decatur UMC pantry open first, third Thursdays

The Decatur United Methodist Church Food Pantry is open the first and third Thursday evening of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and offers food boxes to Decatur residents. All that is needed is a valid identification, a utility bill or piece of mail showing an address in the 72722 ZIP code area. Also available is a USDA commodity program to residents of Decatur and other communities without a commodity program. The commodity program requires income information. GFA food pantry

open Tuesdays

The GFA food pantry at the First Assembly of God in Gentry is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The church partners with the NWA Food Bank and Rural Compassion to receive food to be given away, including canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread, milk and dairy products, eggs and meats. Other items such as toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning products and baby supplies are also available as supplies last. Clients are asked to call for an appointment. Lions meetings set

in Gravette, Gentry

The Gravette Lions Club meets at 12:15 p.m., the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 1870 Limekiln Road, in Gravette. The Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the McKee Community Room in Gentry Public Library. New members are welcome and invited.

Decatur VFW Post meets

VFW Post 9834 meets at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Guests are welcome.

Tired Iron club meets

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria inside Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.

Gravette Legion meets third Tuesday of month

Gravette American Legion, Post 25, meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center. All veterans are welcome. Persons interested in joining the American Legion, and especially Post 25, may contact the Gravette post at P.O. Box 476, Gravette, AR 72736.

Singing services set at Falling Springs church

Monthly singing services at Falling Springs Church are held at 7 p.m. the first Friday of each month. The church is located northwest of Gentry and west of Decatur on Falling Springs Road.
