GRAVETTE -- Kim and Marylea Hendren, of Gravette, will celebrate their 81st birthdays and their 61st anniversary on Saturday, March 9. A drop-in reception is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. at Berean Ministries, 301 Birmingham Street S.E. All family and friends are invited to come help them celebrate.
Guests are asked to bring no gifts, please, but a birthday card or anniversary card with their favorite memory of Kim and Marylea would be welcome. The cake will be cut at 2:30 p.m.
Kim Hendren and Marylea Hutchinson were married at the First Methodist Church in Gravette on June 1, 1958. They met in 1948 when Marylea and her family moved from Oklahoma City to a farm near Gravette. They have been boyfriend and girlfriend since they were in fifth grade together.
They are the parents of four children, Mark Hendren, James (Jim) Hendren, Gayla McKenzie and Hope Duke. They have 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
