GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers were overwhelmed by the visiting Lady Goblins from Harrison on Thursday. Harrison scored nine goals in the game and held Gentry scoreless.

Gentry sophomore Makenna Ward had a workout in the contest as the team's goalkeeper and had five saves in the game.

The Lady Pioneers fell 7-1 in a game on Friday at Berryville. Katie Ellis, a Gentry junior, put in Gentry's only goal of the game and season during the first half. Makenna Ward was credited with seven saves in the match.

In tournament play on March 2, the Lady Pioneers lost to Huntsville, 3-0, to Grove (Okla.), 11-0, and to Shiloh Christian, 4-0.

The Gentry boys lost at Berryville, 8-2, on Friday. Gentry's goals came in the second half with Edgar Reyes kicking the ball into the net twice and Giovanny Ramirez credited with one assist in the game.

Berryville scored five goals in the first half and three in the second.

It was 8-1 in favor of Harrison on Thursday in Pioneer Stadium. Holden Willis kicked in Gentry's only goal of the night.
