The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 South Main. Nita Gould, the author of "Remembering Ella: A 1912 Murder and Mystery in the Arkansas Ozarks" and a cousin of Ella, will present a program about the rape, murder and dismemberment of the 18-year-old girl. Gould spent 15 years researching family documents and public records to determine if justice was served. For further information, call 479-271-6820. The public is welcome.

Spring Break Activities at Gentry Library

Gentry Public Library has activities planned during Spring Break. On Wednesday, March 20, and Friday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., children, grades K-6, are invited to create their own superhero costumes, have snacks, and read the library's own Curiositeam Comic Book. Please register your children by calling the Library at 479-736-2054. And, every Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the GPL Homeschoolers group meets for crafts, snacks and reading. Senior Center Quilt Raffle

Quilt raffle tickets may be purchased at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center for four quilts made and donated by Betty Howard. A drawing will be held for two queen-full quilts and two twin bed quilts which will be raffled together. Cost is $1 per ticket or six for $5. The drawing will be held on Friday, March 29. All proceeds go to the Meals on Wheels program which serves homebound Seniors in Gravette, Decatur, Sulphur Springs, Hiwasse and Maysville.

First Baptist Food Pantry

First Baptist Church, located at 213 E. Roller Avenue in Decatur, holds a community food pantry on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the church at 479-752-3514.

TOPS in Gentry

Gentry TOPS AR113, a nonprofit group which promotes healthy weight loss, meets every Monday at the First Christian Church Fellowship Room, Second and Giles, with a weigh in at 2:15 p.m. and the meeting at 3 p.m. There is a small fee to join but the first meeting is free.

Decatur UMC Pantry

The Decatur United Methodist Church Food Pantry is open the first and third Thursday evening of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and offers food boxes to Decatur residents. All that is needed is a valid identification, a utility bill or piece of mail showing an address in the 72722 ZIP code area. Also available is a USDA commodity program to residents of Decatur and other communities without a commodity program. The commodity program requires income information. GFA Food Pantry

The GFA food pantry at the First Assembly of God in Gentry is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The church partners with the NWA Food Bank and Rural Compassion to receive food to be given away, including canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread, milk and dairy products, eggs and meats. Other items such as toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning products and baby supplies are also available as supplies last. Clients are asked to call for an appointment. Mobile Food Bank

The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank has added a stop in Gravette, at 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Billy V. Hall Complex. The stop is the eleventh mobile pantry in Northwest Arkansas. Food boxes, as well as fruits, vegetables and protein, are distributed to up to 90 households.

Decatur VFW Post

VFW Post 9834 meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Guests are welcome.

Tired Iron Club

Tired Iron of the Ozarks antique engine and tractor club meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the club's show grounds, located at 13344 Taylor Orchard Road in Gentry. For more information, visit the club's website at tiredironoftheozarks.org.

Lions Meetings

The Gravette Lions Club meets at 12:15 p.m., the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 1870 Limekiln Road, in Gravette. The Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the McKee Community Room in Gentry Public Library. New members are welcome and invited.

Kiwanis Club

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria inside Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.

Legion Meetings

Gravette American Legion, Post 25, meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Civic Center. All veterans are welcome. Persons interested in joining the American Legion, and especially Post 25, may contact the Gravette post at P.O. Box 476, Gravette, AR 72736.

Falling Springs Singing

Monthly singing services at Falling Springs Church are held at 7 p.m. the first Friday of each month. The church is located northwest of Gentry and west of Decatur on Falling Springs Road.
