Gravette pool, splash park open Memorial weekend

GRAVETTE -- The city of Gravette has announced that the Gravette pool and splash park will be opening Memorial Day weekend. The new aquatic facility, completed just last year, features the city pool with a water slide and surrounding 3,100-square-foot splash park.

Pool chemicals are in stock and the splash pad is almost ready for use, so preparations will soon be complete for the Memorial Day weekend opening. A staff of eight lifeguards, including pool manager Micayla Hendricks, has been secured.

Open hours for the pool and splash park will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission price will be $3 until 5 p.m. and will drop to $1.50 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The charge will be $1.50 all day on Sunday.

Season passes are now available at City Hall. Cost is $120 for up to four people and $10 for each additional person. Individual passes can be purchased for $55 each. Pool parties can also be booked at City Hall. Reservations may be made for $125 for less than 25 people or $150 for 25 or more guests.

The city is not offering swim lessons this year but private swim lessons will be conducted by Pam Seeger and can be booked by calling her at 318-268-6246 for pricing and availability.
