HIWASSE -- The community of Hiwasse will celebrate with a Hiwasse Hallmark Christmas beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Hiwasse Store.
The event is designed to be an informal seasonal get-together for all in the community. A decorated Christmas tree will be lighted during the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus are scheduled to join the festivities.
Hot cocoa, cider and popcorn will be served, and face painting will be available for the youngsters.
Sponsors of the event are the Hiwasse Store and Tri-State Propane. "Please make plans to kick this new Hiwasse community tradition off in a big way!" said John and Julie Holloway, business owners.
