Two-vehicle accident sends drivers to hospital, backs up traffic

GENTRY -- A two-vehicle collision on Arkansas Highway 59 just north of the Gentry city limits about noon on Thursday sent at least two to the hospital and backed up traffic for an hour or more. The number of injured or the extent of their injuries was not yet released on Thursday evening.

Arkansas State Police investigated the accident, but Gentry Police Department and Gentry Fire Department, as well as ambulance units and an air ambulance, were on the scene assisting the injured.
