Competition set Saturday for Miss Teen Gravette 2020

GRAVETTE -- Seven young ladies have entered the competition for Miss Teen Gravette 2020. The competition will be held this Saturday, Aug. 8, beginning at 2 p.m, at the Gravette Civic Center.

Because of social distancing restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic, the competition will be closed to the public. Attendees will be limited to the contestants, pageant staff, judges and members of the media. The competition will be livestreamed on the "City of Gravette -- Government" Facebook page.

Each of the contestants will be judged in evening gown competition. While they are on stage in their evening gowns, each girl will also compete in an onstage question competition. The Miss Gravette evening gown/onstage question competition will follow immediately after the Miss Teen Gravette contest. Crowning of the winners of both competitions will be held at the conclusion of the two contests.

Contestants in the Miss Teen Gravette competition include sisters Genna Allen, 14, and Isabella Allen, 15, who are homeschooled; Isabella Holloway, 15, who will be a junior this fall; Katie Keith, 16, who will be a junior this fall; Keeli Moore, 17, who will be a senior this fall; Katelyn Scates, 14, who will be a freshman this fall; and Hayle Vestal, 15, who will be a sophomore this fall.
