Gentry Chamber Banquet

Gentry Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the Wooden Spoon Restaurant in Gentry. Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner and a famous Wooden Spoon dessert. For tickets email: [email protected], or call: 479-736-2358.

Free Quilt Class

A free quilt and craft class will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Gravette Church of Christ annex, 202 Irving Street S.W. Instruction on a quilt block will be given and a show and tell session will be held. All area quilt/craft enthusiasts are welcome. Please bring finished projects or works in progress and a snack to share.

Hiwasse to hold Town Hall Meeting

A town hall meeting will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the Hiwasse Community Building, 13690 Fire House Lane in Hiwasse. All area residents are invited to attend and hear a state of the city report and profiles of area businesses. A comment period with questions and answers will follow the meeting.

Reception to honor Gail Lee Cowdin

Bella Vista author Gail Lee Cowdin will be honored at a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, Feb. 19, at the Bella Vista Bar and Grill at the Bella Vista Country Club. Sponsored by the Bella Vista Arts Council, the reception will honor Cowdin as Bella Vista Artist of the Month. She is the author of "Dark Deceptions," a novel featuring Gravette area persons and businesses, as well as other novels in the series. The public is invited.

Falling Springs Singing

Monthly singing services at Falling Springs Church are held at 7 p.m. the first Friday of each month. The church is located northwest of Gentry and west of Decatur on Falling Springs Road.

First Baptist Food Pantry

First Baptist Church, located at 213 E. Roller Ave. in Decatur, holds a community food pantry on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the church at 479-282-6658.

TOPS in Gentry

Gentry TOPS AR113, a nonprofit group that promotes healthy weight loss, meets every Monday at the First Christian Church Fellowship Room, Second and Giles, with a weigh-in at 2:15 p.m. and the meeting at 3 p.m. There is a small fee to join but the first meeting is free.

GFA Food Pantry

GFA Pantry Inc. at the Gentry Assembly is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The church partners with the NWA Food Bank and Rural Compassion to receive food to be given away, including canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread, milk and dairy products, eggs and meats. Other items such as toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning products and baby supplies are also available as supplies last. Clients are asked to call for an appointment. Tired Iron Club

Tired Iron of the Ozarks antique engine and tractor club meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the club's show grounds, located at 13344 Taylor Orchard Road in Gentry. For more information, visit the club's website at tiredironoftheozarks.org.

Lions meetings

The Gravette Lions Club meets at 12:15 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 1870 Limekiln Road, in Gravette. The Gentry Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month in the McKee Community Room of the Gentry Public Library. New members are welcome and invited.

Kiwanis Club

The Gravette Kiwanis Club holds breakfast meetings at 7 a.m. each Friday at the cafeteria inside Ozarks Community Hospital. Guests are welcome.
