Graduations set for this weekend

• Gentry High School's graduation is set for

7:30 p.m. Friday in Pioneer Stadium. Attendance is limited and face masks and social distancing are required.

• Decatur High School's graduation is set for 9 a.m. Saturday in Peterson Gymnasium but attendance is restricted to seven guests per graduate, with social distancing and the wearing of face masks required. Attendees will be screened at their cars before admittance. More information on the safety procedures is provided on the Decatur School District website.

• Gravette High School's graduation will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday in Lion Stadium. Attendance is limited and facemasks and social distancing will be required.

Library board

to meet

Meetings of the Gravette Public Library advisory board are held at 6 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the library. The library is located at 119 Main St. S.E. All meetings are open to the public.

Gravette Schools deliver lunches

Sheila Roughton, food service director at Gravette Public Schools, has announced the school is providing free lunches for children through the school's Seamless Summer program. Lunches may be picked up at the following locations and times: Gravette Upper Elementary School, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; bus on Baker Street, 10:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday; bus at ballfields, 10:50 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Monday through Thursday; bus on Highway 59 at Sulphur Springs, 11:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday.

GFA food pantry drive-through

GFA Pantry Inc. at the Gentry Assembly is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The pantry is drive-through only during the covid-19 pandemic. Clients are asked to call 662-727-5157 or email [email protected] for appointments. They then can pull up to the drive-through awning and someone will meet them outside and get them signed in and bring their food to their vehicle. This is until further notice. The church partners with the NWA Food Bank and Rural Compassion to receive food to be given away, including canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread, milk and dairy products, eggs and meats. Other items such as toilet paper, shampoo, cleaning products and baby supplies are also available as supplies last.

First Baptist

First Baptist Church, located at 213 E. Roller Ave. in Decatur, holds a community food pantry on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the church at 479-282-6658.

Gravette

Farmers Market

The Gravette Farmers Market is now open on Saturdays in Old Town Park. Hours for the market will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, eggs, farm-raised beef and pork products, jams and jellies, honey, baked goods and crafts are available. Senior Farmers Market coupons and WIC vouchers will be honored. Potential vendors should call manager Beth Patton at 479-787-3313 to reserve a booth.

Library offers

curbside service

Gentry Public Library is now offering curbside service to patrons. Patrons may check out books and other materials between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling ahead at 479-736-2054 or by emailing [email protected]. Patrons can then park behind the library and call. Library staff will bring the bagged items out and leave them for the patrons to pick up after the library staff members have returned inside the library. Bella Vista Area Radio Club

The Bella Vista Area Radio Club has begun holding online meetings while in-person monthly meetings are temporarily suspended. Anyone interested in amateur radio should "tune in" to the club's YouTube Live webcasts at

7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. Links to the YouTube Channel and the club's Facebook Group are at www.BellaVistaRadio Club.org. License exams have also been temporarily suspended. More info is available online, or by calling Ron Evans at 479-270-5584.
