DECATUR -- The Lady Bulldogs returned to Decatur on Nov. 17 to take on the Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy Lady Spartans in the middle school gym.

Decatur managed to stay within reach of NWA Classical Academy but, at the end of the contest, the Lady Spartans took the win, 32-25, over the Lady Bulldogs.

In an earlier contest, the Decatur junior high girls team overwhelmed the NWACC junior high girls by over 10 points, the exact score was not available at press time.

The junior high girls' next opponent was the Haas Hall Rogers Lady Danes in a game played at Peterson Gym in Decatur Thursday night.

The Lady Spartans managed to hold the Lady Bulldogs scoreless through most of the first quarter.

Decatur's Priya James hit a free throw for the only point the Lady Bulldogs made in the quarter.

From there, Decatur picked up the pace and played aggressive basketball throughout the remainder of the contest.

But the junior high Lady Bulldogs were never able to make up the deficit from the first quarter and NWA Classical Academy claimed the victory 32-19.
