GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers won their first set but then lost the next three against the visiting Lady Warriors of Life Way Christian in Centerton in a non-conference match at Gentry High School on Aug. 31.

Match scores on Aug. 31 were 25-22 in favor of Gentry and then 25-8, 25-7 and 25-16 in favor of Life Way.

The Lady Pioneers hosted the Lady Bobcats of Berryville in a conference match on Sept. 1 and, though the Gentry girls scored more points in each consecutive set, they dropped the match in three straight sets, 25-11, 25-12 and 25-17.

At Huntsville on Thursday, the Gentry girls came close in the second set but were swept in the three-set match, 25-10, 25-20 and 25-2.

This week, they were scheduled to play Harrison on Tuesday and Pea Ridge on Thursday.
