Entries being accepted for Gravette Day pageants

GRAVETTE -- Pageant entries are now being accepted for the 128th Gravette Day being held on Saturday, Aug. 14, in the heart of Gravette.

This year's pageants are sponsored by Gravette business Teasley Drug. Divisions are available for both boys and girls.

Boys can compete for the title of Mr. Tiny Tot (birth-23 months old); Tiny Tot (2-4 years old) or Little Mister (5-7 years old), Girls can compete for the title of Pretty Baby (birth-11 months old), Tiny Tot (12-23 months old), Little Miss Toddler (2-3 years old), Little Miss Petite (4-5 years old), Little Miss (6-7 years old), Miss Tween (8-10 years old), Miss Preteen (11-13 years old), Miss Teen Gravette (14-17 years old) and Miss Gravette (18-23 years old).

Entrants in the under age 13 divisions are encouraged to arrive in dressy casual outfits and will do a walk of the stage in front of the judges.

Entrants in the Miss Teen and Miss Gravette divisions will compete in several categories, including an interview, casual wear, evening wear and onstage question. They will also participate in the Gravette Day parade, although it is not a judged category.

All activities, including crowning the winners will take place at Kindley Park on the Main Stage.

Winners will receive a crown and sash, courtesy of pageant sponsor Teasley Drug. First, second and third runners up will be named in all under age 13 divisions and medals will be awarded. Miss Teen Gravette and Miss Gravette will receive a crown and sash, along with cash prizes of $100 and $150 respectively, all courtesy of pageant sponsor Teasley Drug.

The 2021 winners of Miss Teen and Miss Gravette will go on to complete at the Benton County Fair pageants and their entry fee to that pageant will be paid for, thanks to Teasley Drug.

Entrants in all categories must reside in the Gravette School District, which includes Gravette, Hiwasse, Bella Vista, Maysville and Sulphur Springs. Entry forms are available online at GravetteAR.com under the "Events" tab or at City Hall.
