GENTRY -- Gentry seniors Kyleigh Wheaton and Mazzi Jones signed letters of intent at the high school in the Pioneer Activities Complex on Nov. 10 to play softball for Harding University and Crowder College next year.
Wheaton, who pitched for the Lady Pioneers all four years of her high school career, signed her letter of intent to attend Harding University and play softball there next year.
Jones, an infielder for the Lady Pioneers and also a four-year veteran, signed to attend and play for Crowder College.
Both served the team well with their bats.
Clay Stewart coached the girls for many years on travel teams and then assisted as a volunteer coach at the high school. Their high school coaches also included Erica Jones, Ayla Smartt and Paul Ernst.
