Glenn Thomas Smith
Glenn Thomas Smith, 77, of Gentry, Arkansas, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, November 29, 2021, at the Earlene Howard Hospice Home of Springdale, Arkansas.
Glenn was born May 11, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA, to Leroy E. Smith and Sarah C. Standridge-Smith. He was a graduate of the Siloam Springs High School Class of 1962 and went on to serve two years in the Peace Corps in Borneo, Malaysia. On December 17, 1967, in Printer, Floyd County, KY., he married Rhonda Faye Tackett-Smith and they shared a loving 53 years. After being drafted, Glenn served honorably for the United States Army in Korea. He was a founding member of the local Tired Iron of the Ozarks and owned several businesses, such as Glenn Smith Well Drilling and Stumpy's Tree Service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda "Sadie" Smith of the home; two daughters, Robin Mitchell and husband Bryan, and Danya Bunch and husband Dwayne, both of Gentry, AR; two brothers, Wade Smith and wife Roberta of Centerton, AR, and Henry Smith and wife Renee of Gentry, AR; five grandchildren, Doug Mitchell and wife Katrina, Trenton Mitchell, Brianna Crews and husband Skyler, Whitney Ramsey and husband Eathan, and Madison Bunch; and many other loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Clifford Smith.
The visitation for Glenn will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the New Life Church in Siloam Springs, AR.
The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon on December 3, 2021, at the New Life Church in Siloam Springs, AR., with Brother Millard Huett and Pastor Tim Estes officiating the service. Burial will be held at Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Arkansas, with military honors.
