Lady Lions fall to Lady Goblins in final volleyball match of regular season

WESTSIDE -- In its final match of the regular season, the Gravette Lady Lion varsity volleyball team hit the road on Oct. 12, traveling to Harrison to take on the Lady Goblins in a conference showdown. The outcome of the contest was less than desirable for Lion fans as the Lady Goblins took all three sets.

Gravette fell behind early and was never able to catch up in the first set. Harrison claimed the set, 25-6.

The Lady Lion woes continued in sets 2 and 3, losing to the Lady Goblins 25-10 and 25-10, and the Harrison Lady Goblins claimed the conference win in three straight sets over the Gravette Lady Lions.

The Gravette Lady Lion volleyball team was set to travel to Springdale for the first round of the 4A district volleyball tournament at Shiloh Christian Monday night (after press time).
