11 new covid cases reported in Gentry schools last week

GENTRY -- The Gentry School District reported 11 new covid-19 cases in its schools last week, with 34 persons required to quarantine.

Between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3, there were 19 positive cases reported, with 134 staff members or students required to quarantine, according to data released by the school district.

The district has 1,527 students and 220 staff members. Since July 1, there have been 67 reported positive test results for covid 19 among staff and students. Thirty-eight people have sidestepped the quarantine requirements by being fully vaccinated.
