GENTRY -- City workers and others who volunteered were kept busy on Saturday loading dumpsters and trailers with a wide variety of items residents brought to discard.
The special cleanup day allowed residents to get rid of everything from mattresses to electronics to tires and household hazardous materials. Paper shredding was also made available to residents.
Held in conjunction with the cleanup was a tree giveaway, with trees provided through the Walton Family Foundation.
