Rains finally fall, and more predicted

With 1.5 inches in the gauge on Friday, 2.7 more inches in the gauge on Saturday and another 0.3 inches on Sunday, rainfall amounts in Gentry since the rain started falling last week had reached 4.5 inches, with the possibility of more to follow before the Wednesday publish date of the Eagle Observer.

GENTRY -- Rains finally fell again in Eagle Observer territory, with just over an inch and a half of rain falling in Gentry overnight on Thursday, another 2.7 inches by midday on Saturday, and three more tenths falling by Sunday evening, amounting to a good 4.5 inches. And the possibility of additional showers remained in the forecast Sunday night and Monday morning.

And with the rain, lawns and fields started to turn green again -- a refreshing sight.

According to the National Weather Service on Sunday, chances of rain return today and continue through Friday, with high temperatures forecast to be in the lower 90s.
