GENTRY -- The Pioneers fell to the visiting Eagles of Paris in a coronation night game at Gentry High School by a score of 59-41.

The Eagles soared over the Pioneers in the opening quarter, holding Gentry to three points while racking up 17 for an early lead.

Though the Pioneers played much stronger in the remaining quarters, Paris continued to build on its lead, finishing up by 18 points. The score was 17-3 after the first quarter, 28-12 after two, 42- 25 after three and 59-41 at the final buzzer.

Leading the scoring for the Pioneers was Jonathan Corter with 11. Garrett Jech and Quan Tran each had eight. Addi Taylor added seven, Kydon Linch three, and Jacob Brown and Dalton Richardson had two each.
