GENTRY -- Gentry senior Alyssa McCarty was crowned 2022-2023 basketball coronation queen, and senior Hayden Henry was crowned coronation king, at special ceremonies held in the high school gym on Friday evening.
Alyssa is the daughter of Kevin and Steffanie McCarty, and Henry is the son of Jeremy Henry and Emily Blackman. For the second year in a row, there was only one senior queen candidate eligible for the title.
This year's theme was "Destination: Victory." It was picked by the student council.
Students decorated the halls and participated in various dress-up days last week at Gentry High School. The class winners of the hall decorating contest were the sophomores, followed by the juniors, the freshmen and the seniors. The club winner of the hall decorating contest was the FFA.
