Walker, Barber crowned king, queen at Gentry homecoming

Westside Eagle Observer/RANDY MOLL Gentry seniors Bart Walker and Kelsey Barber were crowned homecoming king and queen at ceremonies held in Pioneer Arena on Friday, Jan. 14.

GENTRY -- Kelsey Barber was crowned basketball homecoming queen in Gentry, and Bart Walker homecoming king, at special ceremonies Friday evening in Pioneer Arena at Gentry High School.

Barber was escorted by sophomore Hayzen Phillips. She is the daughter of DeAnn Linn and the late Wayne Barber.

Walker is the son of Brent and Katy Walker. He escorted Alyssa McCarty, a Gentry junior, in the ceremonies.

Doing the crowning honors was last year's basketball homecoming queen, Darien Welch.

Kindergarten mascots this year were EllaGrace Beck, the daughter of Tyler and Joanna Beck, and Grayson Dale Tevebaugh, the son of Toby and Brandi Tevebaugh.

Others in the court included sophomore maids Kelsi Amos, Payge Deason, Brynn Cordeiro, Kaitlyn Caswell, Zoey Harris, Reese Hester, Hailie Kreger, Destiny Reinhardt, Shelby Still and Emma Tevebaugh. Escorts included senior Garrison Jackson, sophomore Gauge Thompson, junior Hayden Henry, junior Johnathan Chapman, sophomore Addison Taylor, junior Jonathon Corter, junior Johnathan Ward, sophomore Hideki Xiong and sophomore Riggs Harper.
