Rain finally falls, and more predicted

GENTRY -- Just over an inch and a half of rain fell in Gentry overnight on Thursday, with more rain forecast for Friday night and through the weekend.

Friday Afternoon -- A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

Friday Night -- A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Northeast wind around five mph becoming calm in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday -- Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 80. Southeast wind around five mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch are possible.

Saturday Night -- Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 a.m. Low around 69. Southeast wind around five mph becoming calm in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 80%.
