Carolyn Evelyn Jensen
Carolyn Evelyn Jensen, 89, of Bella Vista, died on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Village in Bentonville.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1932, in Iowa. She and her late husband Bud spent many years owning numerous grocery stores throughout Iowa before moving to Bella Vista in 1977. After moving to Arkansas, they were active in real estate and construction, owning both Century 21-A1 Real Estate of Bentonville and Jensen & Jensen Construction. They are most known for owning and operating "Bud's Family Style Chicken," at which they employed multiple family members and friends who became family. She enjoyed spending her time cooking, baking, reading, entertaining, and had a green thumb.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harold (Bud) Jensen; sons, John Jensen and Keith Jensen; and grandson, Jason Jensen.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Jensen and wife Sharon of Bentonville, Martin Jensen and wife Kim of Bentonville; daughter, Kimberly Skaggs and husband Chuck of Hiwasse; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, at Bella Vista Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.
