Floyd Laverne Graves
Floyd Laverne Graves, 88, of Gravette, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.
He was born Oct. 7, 1934, in Clifty, the son of Lula Pemberton and Floyd B. Graves. He was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was a Christian, loved meeting new people and worked as a mason for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Graves; one son, Michael Hilton; and a grandson, Steven Hilton.
He is survived by his sons, David Graves and wife Linda of Huntsville, Daniel Hilton of Springdale, Bryce Graves and wife Kim of Neosho, Mo., Brent Graves and wife Candice of Siloam Springs; daughters, Cindy Armstrong and husband David of Ceneterton, Jamie Bentley and husband David of Fayetteville, Michele Cates and husband Mark of Greenland, Angela Austin and husband Dave of Decatur; one brother, Ardith Graves and his wife Dotty of Seligman, Mo., three sisters, Carolyn Fair of Bentonville, Mary Settle of Salina, Kan., Fern Martin and her husband Larry of Tulsa, Okla.; 25 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Epting Funeral Home in Gravette. Laverne's life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at Epting Funeral Home Chapel in Gravette, with Pastor Danny Valenzuela and Pastor Tim Trammell officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette.
