Melinda Michelle Redmond

Melinda Michelle Redmond, of Gentry, Arkansas, passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 64.

Melinda was born to Harold Mathia and Evelyn (Bryant) Fairbanks on July 27, 1958, in Lawrence, Kansas.

She worked for McKee Foods as a Shipping Client Operator. Melinda had many hobbies that kept her busy and entertained when she wasn't busy working. She loved shopping, especially for her grandkids, collecting antiques, traveling, baking with Emma, and spending time with her beloved family and best friend Tina Edwards.

Melinda's kind and loving heart will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. She is survived by her husband, Terry Redmond; her daughters, Katie Redmond and Laura (Jamie) Truman; her grandchildren, Mason and Emma Truman; her mother, Evelyn Fairbanks; her sister, Darla Coleman; her sister-in-law, Janetta Mathia; and many nieces and nephews.

Melinda was preceded in passing by her father, Harold "Hunky" Mathia; her brothers, Darrell Mathia and William Mathia; and her niece, Amber Coleman.

Drop-in visitation will be Friday, August 11, from 6-8 p.m. at Falling Springs Church in Decatur, AR. Casual attire is requested.

Memorial contributions in Melinda's name may be directed towards Children's Mercy, Kansas City.
