BOYS

On the boys' side of the tournament, Gentry couldn't quite keep pace with Commerce, Okla., on Dec. 28 and lost 60-44.

The Pioneers were down by three points at the first buzzer, but Commerce widened that gap in the second quarter to be up 31-21 at the half. Commerce widened the gap further in the third, outscoring Gentry 18-10. Even though Gentry outscored Commerce 13-11 in the final quarter that wasn't enough to change the outcome.

Dyllen Labitad led the Pioneers in scoring with 17 points in the game. Addi Taylor added nine.
