Gravette girls get past Dardanelle in final quarter

GRAVETTE -- The Lady Lions outplayed Dardanelle in the final quarter to take a 51-43 win and move into the championship round of the Gravette Christmas Classic last week.

Brynn Romine had 11 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as Gravette rallied past Dardanelle in Lion Arena on Dec. 28.

The Lady Lions (8-4) trailed 30-28 to start the fourth quarter and by five points at different times in the fourth quarter, but Dalacie Wishon's two free throws tied the game at 43 with 2:25 remaining. Romine then hit the tie-breaking bucket at the 1:46 mark and added a steal and a layup 14 seconds later to give Gravette a four-point cushion.

Keeley Elsea added 14 points for the Lady Lions, who played Siloam Springs in the championship game, while Dalacie Wishon finished with 12.
