Carol Ann Davis, 85, of Jay, Okla., died at her home on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

She was born Aug. 5, 1937, in Huntsville, to Murel Eli and Amo Gertrude (Harris) Davis. She was a mother to four children. She was one of the first five female letter carriers for the United States Postal Service. She was family-oriented, loved sending cards to her family and friends, and enjoyed helping others. Fishing, cooking, sewing, quilting, and playing games were some of her favorite pastimes. She was known for being able to fix anything.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murel and Amo Davis; and two brothers, Ronald Davis and Larry Davis.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Davis (Zee); sister, Nancy Uhrich (Richard); one son, Brent Trammell of Jay; three daughters, Cindy Conner of Wichita, Kan.; Cheri Spurgeon (Mike) of Valley Center, Kan., and Connie Trammell (Dennis Owens) of Cherokee City; eight grandchildren, Valerie Brauer (Brian), Annie Pearson (Melvin), Jason Trammell (Samantha), Shawnda Santillan, Ashley Trammell, Tabbetha Ryan (Kyle), Miranda McChristain, and Meghan Trammell (Kevin); and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., with Ryan Bachuss officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at Huntsville Cemetery. Services are by Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory in Huntsville.
