GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers have gotten off to a mixed start in the 2023 softball season with both big wins and big losses.
The Lady Pioneers fell in a slugfest at Springdale on Feb. 27 by a score of 20-18 and then at Clarksville on March 6 by a score of 7-0. But the Gentry girls came back strong and scored 19 runs to Bentonville-West's eight for a win on March 7.
On Friday, they lost to Sheridan by a score of 7-2. On Saturday, they defeated Northside, 7-0, but then fell that afternoon to Springdale and Harrison by scores of 8-1 and 14-5, respectively.
The girls were scheduled to host Dardanelle on Monday (after press time) and then travel to Mansfield on Thursday.
