GRAVETTE -- St. Patrick's Day was celebrated by guests at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center with several activities. Center director Melissa Provence had proclaimed Friday, March 17, as Wear Green Day, and many visitors were dressed in green garments and accessories.

Several started the day early with breakfast at 8 a.m., and many others joined activities throughout the day. Participants in the weekly PEPPI exercise class arrived at 9:30 a.m. and worked out for an hour. PEPPI classes are held at the Center Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week.

Members of the Prairie Roads Band from Springdale also arrived at 9:30 and entertained in the dining room until lunchtime. Band members perform at the Center on the third Friday of each month.

The lunch menu featured shepherd's pie, steamed cabbage, Harvard beets and potato bread with pistachio cake for dessert. Tables were strewn with assorted candies for diners to select, and root beer floats were served after lunch as a special treat.

Visitors enjoyed playing Wii bowling throughout the morning, and several ladies stayed after lunch to participate in a Drums Alive exercise session.
