Larry Lee Wilmoth

Larry Lee Wilmoth, 84, of Gravette, died on Sept. 6, 2023.

He was born at home to Earl and Lillian Wilmoth of Gravette on April 23, 1939. He worked at Peterson's Chicken Plant during high school and, upon graduation, joined the United States Army, and served as a military policeman. After returning home from duty, he began working at the post office as a clerk but quickly secured a career at the Bank of Gravette, where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gravette, was the church treasurer, and drove the church van. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, including baseball, bowling, golfing, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his sister, Alice DelVecchio of Pleasanton, Calif.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn; three children, Scotty and wife Lei, Robin and husband Tim, and Suzanna and husband John; his brother, Jim Wilmoth and wife Deloris of Waldron; sister, Earline and husband Earl Baker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin, Johanna, Evangeline, Tanner, Garrett, Brooklyn, Kaitlyn and Mason; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Gravette, followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. Burial was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse.
