A display of historical material in the meeting room at the Hiwasse Mercantile features newspaper clippings and several photographs of early-day Hiwasse, including a photo of former owner Virgil Banks, who operated a feed store, grocery and hardware in the building. The displays were enjoyed by visitors attending the quarterly meeting of the Benton County Historical Society Sunday, March 12.
