— Gentry Early Learning Academy now has open enrollment for the school year which begins next month.

The Academy is accepting children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years, and is open from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. A school bus picks up school-age children from the facility in the morning and brings them back to the Academy at the end of the school day.

Gentry Early Learning Center is located at 185 Rebecca Street in Gentry. The facility, according to the Academy’s website, is a 13,000 squarefoot modern structure with 13 separate classrooms and an expansive outdoor children's play area that features inviting playground equipment. The Academy has acapacity of 126 children.

The Academy provides high-quality child care for infants and school age children, the website states. “Teachers’ and staff's instructional demeanor exudes warmth and caring which encourages positive interaction.”

The Academy is owned and operated by Western Arkansas Child Development, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which has been licensed for more than 30 years by the State of Arkansas to provide childcare. Other facilities are located in Alma, Rogers, Springdale and Van Buren. WACD also offers a program called Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters or HIPPY.

For more information or to enroll, contact the Early Learning Academy at 736-9012 or visit the Academy’s website at wacd.net. The Academy’s director can also be contacted by email at [email protected].
