Pickup truck reported stolen

— Police are investigating the theft of a pickup truck from Eric Briley, at 190 Allen Street in Gentry.

The truck - a white 1996 Chevrolet half-ton with a short bed and missing a tailgate - was reported as stolen on Saturday, according to Gentry Police Chief Keith Smith.

Anyone with any information on the theft or the truck’s whereabouts is asked to call the Gentry Police Department at 736-8400.

Domestic Violence Arrest

Police arrested Ramero Benigno Villatoro-Perez, 40, of 219 Brooklyn Street in Gentry, for third-degree domestic battery, on Sunday night.

According to police, Villatoro-Perez allegedly struck a female with a stick.

Villatoro-Perez was listedas an inmate on the Benton County Jail website on Monday. Bond had not yet been set.

Police also picked up a number of juveniles from city park after curfew on Saturday night. The juveniles were turned over to the custody of their parents.

Smith said his department would pick up curfew violators and call parents to come and pick them up at the police department.
