GENTRY -- Police in Gentry arrested Tyler McGowan, 25, of Colcord, Okla., and Amber Holt, 35, of Siloam Springs, on Jan. 24, in connection to felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to police reports, Gentry officers responded to a report of two people sleeping in a car in the Gentry McDonald's parking lot. When police arrived, they found Holt in the passenger seat and McGowan in the driver's seat but had a hard time waking them. Police noted both had dilated pupils, police reports say. Holt had slurred speech and McGowan, irregular arm and hand movements, reports say.
Both were discovered to have warrants for their arrest, reports say. Holt had warrants out of Adair County, Okla., and Siloam Springs. McGowan had a warrant out of Washington County.
After placing both Holt and McGowan under arrest, an inventory search of the vehicle revealed a small handbag with used syringes and a spoon, along with a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamines, police reports say.
Holt was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail with bond set at $4,500. McGowan was no longer listed in the Benton County Jail logs.
On Jan. 19, police arrested Bobby Joe Cedatol, 36, of Gentry, in connection to driving while under the influence of alcohol.
According to police reports, Cedatol was stopped in connection with an earlier report of an assault which was not substantiated. According to reports, Cedatol allegedly admitted to being drunk, failed field sobriety tests and tested .202 for blood alcohol content. The legal limit is .08.General News on 02/07/2018
