LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

It was one of the most beautiful and holy sights I have seen in a long time. This week three of Gravette’s churches came together for a common goal ... to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our community’s children.

All too often we are so hung up on our differences in theology that we forget we are all His children and have been bought by the same sacrifice. We allow our opinions to get in the way of the important, life-altering work that needs to be done, and many times we work against each other, making the work of the kingdom all the more difficult.

I would like to thank the United Methodist Church, the Church of Christ and the First Christian Church for showing us whose we are, putting differences aside and allowing the love of Christ to unite us in ministering to the kids. It was a blessing to me and everyone who witnessed it.

I hope it speaks volumes to our community about what we value and believe as churches, and I hope to see other churches joining together to spread God’s love in our community ... Can you imagine the impact we could have if, instead of working against each other, we all worked together to further the kingdom! Wow! It’s really something to consider.
