GENTRY --The Lady Pioneers will be going to state playoffs tomorrow, thanks to a Saturday win over Berryville, 5-4.

And if the win wasn't enough, Amber Ellis, freshman forward for Gentry, broke a state record for the most goals scored in a season when she kicked in all five of Gentry's goals against Berryville and set a new record of 65 goals in a season. The previous record was 63.

And the season is not over yet for the Gentry girls. They have opportunity to advance at the state level, and Amber has opportunity to better her own record for goals scored.

The Lady Pioneer soccer team will play in the state playoffs at 10 a.m. Thursday, on field 3 at Burns Park in North Little Rock. If they win, they will play again at noon on Friday. The semifinal game is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday.
