GRAVETTE -- An estimated 300 visitors attended the Ozarks Community Hospital fall festival this year and were treated to a variety of entertaining activities. There was fun for all ages as the festival events unfolded in the parking lot and inside the hospital.

Many booths offered a variety of games including kerplunk, pumpkin ring toss, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting, a cake walk, bean bag toss and shooting sling shots. Hay rides were available and a photo booth recorded lasting memories of the day. The Gentry Wild Wilderness Safari and members of Gravette 4-H brought a variety of animals as a petting zoo for the youngsters, and an obstacle course inflatable was donated for their enjoyment. Guests were also given free samples of candy.

The chili cook off attracted seven entries, with 70 people paying $1 to taste the entries and vote on the best chili and the most creative table decorations. Tara Hicks, of Maysville, won the award for best tasting chili with her "Rootin' Tootin' Chili," and Julia Coffman was awarded the prize for most creative table with an Arkansas Razorback theme.

Amanda Gittlein, OCH marketing manager, expressed thanks to the many festival sponsors, saying, "We are extremely grateful for the Gravette Chamber of Commerce who donated the obstacle course inflatable and for the Bank of Gravett and Arvest Bank for generously donating money towards candy and prizes. A few local businesses, Keller's Candy, Green Heart Realty, Bridges to Wellness and First Christian Church of Gravette, also came out and volunteered their time to make this event successful."

"I can't wait for next year's fall festival!" Gittlein concluded.
