Thank you to those who came out to support the Gravette library gala on August 6th. We had 95 people attend and raised $3,300. We want to thank Mike Shotpouch for catering, David Barber Auction Service for helping us raise $1,400, Dynamic Rhythm and Trey O'Dell for the entertainment, making it a success.
We had Gravette mayor Kurt Maddox and Centerton mayor Bill Edwards and their spouses in attendance. Others who need to be recognized for attending are Dr. Richard Page and his wife, Mary Lou Slinkard, Bank of Gravett employees, Cassie Elliott and her husband, Billy V. Hall Senior Center, Insulbead with Brent and Rhonda Cannon, Dan and Brenda Yates, the John Mitchael family, Steve Huckriede and the David Bailey Law Firm.
Thank you, Tim Craig, for helping us with the barn the past couple of years, and the owners who supported us. Special thanks go to volunteers Frankie Valdez and his boys, Sally Shorter, Jodi Moore and family. Thanks to the library staff, Sylvia Argetsinger and her husband; Michelle Nguyen and her husband; Marie and Garry Long, who bartended; and to library commissioners Roy Perrine, Sharon Bowers and Beverly Gibson, who helped in the serving line, and Susan Holland for publicity.
Dr. Page has offered the high school for our location next year, so look for us to do a gala in April with air conditioning!
