SILOAM SPRINGS -- Board certified noninvasive cardiologist, Ashu Dhanjal, M.D., F.A.C.C., has joined the medical staff of Northwest Health at Siloam Springs and Fayetteville.
After completion of residency and clinical fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, W.V., Dr. Dhanjal practiced at Logan Regional Medical Center for the past four years. Her experience in rural medicine is what brought her to Northwest Arkansas.
"There are a lot of similarities between Siloam Springs and the area of West Virginia where I previously practiced, so I understand the small-town atmosphere," said Dr. Dhanjal. "I strive to instill trust and build relationships with my patients so they are comfortable seeking cardiac care locally. In West Virginia, I was able to treat the majority of residents in their hometown by providing compassionate cardiac services. Once patients saw evidence of my clinical skill, word of mouth spread quickly."
Dr. Dhanjal received her medical education at Lady Hardinge Medical College in Delhi, India. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology and is certified in nuclear medicine and adult echocardiography.
Dr. Dhanjal joined the practice of Northwest Cardiology, where she serves at clinic locations in Fayetteville and Siloam Springs. She currently is accepting new patients in Siloam Springs at 603-2 N. Progress Ave., Suite 400, and same- or next-day appointments are often available. Her areas of expertise include noninvasive cardiology, which means pacemaker management, echocardiograms, stress tests, heart monitors and other heart-related diagnostics that can be performed locally.
Dr. Dhanjal and her husband have two young daughters, ages 9 and 1. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, music and art.
