Donald Eugene Harrelson

Donald E. Harrelson, 86, of Gentry, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital in Siloam Springs.

He was born July 17, 1934, in Farmington to Floyd Leonard Harrelson and Elpha Elree Burris Harrelson. He attended Vaughn School in the small town of Vaughn. He married Mable May Bauer on March 26, 1959, in Miami, Okla. He devoted most of his life to law enforcement, working for Siloam Springs Police, Arkansas State Police and the Benton County Sheriffs Department, gaining rank as chief deputy in the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and serving as a detective. He enjoyed raising cows and spending time with his family and working together on the farm.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Leonard Harrelson; mother, Elpha Elree Burris Harrelson; one son, Floyd Leonard Harrelson; five sisters, Carrie Stout, Lillian Day, Shirley Farmer, Thelma Pinkerton and Glenda Harrelson; and one brother, John Harrelson.

He is survived by three sisters, Juanita Ferguson, Ina Walker and Bobbie Pinkerton; one brother, Roy Harrelson; two sons, Ronald Eugene Harrelson and wife Andrea, Kendall Ray Harrelson and wife Pam, both of Gentry; seven grandchildren, Kelly Capps, Aaron Harrelson and wife Aston, Justin Harrelson and wife Casey, Jason Harrelson and Marlana, Tierney Herbert, Morgan Julio and husband Mark, Donald Scott Harrelson and wife Aire; eight great-grandchildren, Holly Mcreynolds, Payton Harrelson, Mackinnley Harrelson, Drake Capps, Gage Capps, Journey Nowlin, Dominic Julio and Lucy Julio.

Viewing was held Thursday, Jan. 21, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. The funeral was held Friday, Jan. 22, at Wasson Funeral Home. Burial was at Fairmount Cemetery in rural Gentry.

Susan 'Sue' Ann Juillerat

Susan "Sue" Ann Juillerat, 57, of Gentry, died Jan. 18, 2021, at UAMS in Little Rock.

She was born on April 11, 1963, in Skokie, Illinois, to Robert Harold Kenney and Trudy Marie Friebert Kenney. She graduated from Siloam Springs High School in 1981 and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas. She received a master's degree in special education from Harding University. She taught high school special education and geometry for 35 years, spanning from Indiana, Gentry, Morrilton and, currently, Springdale. She married Mike Juillerat on July 5, 1996, in Lebanon, Ind. Sue was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Siloam Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Trudy Kenney; and her brother, Michael Kenney.

Sue is survived by her husband, Mike Juillerat; daughter, Joanna Beck and husband Tyler of Gentry; sons, Scott Jones and wife Haily of Springdale, and Matthew Juillerat and wife Nikole of Jonesboro; granddaughters, EllaGrace Beck and Savannah Jones; sister, Lisa Beagle of Siloam Springs; and sister-in-law, Barbara Kenney of Siloam Springs.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 23, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, with Father Salvador Marquez-Munoz officiating.

Johnnie Russell

Johnnie Lee Russell, 69, of Gravette, died Feb. 13, 2020, after a long and courageous battle against cancer.

He was born Jan. 1, 1951, in Gravette, to Johnnie O. and Leta Russell. His family has multigenerational ties to Gravette. He was a member of the Gravette High School Class of 1969. He attended the University of Arkansas before earning his certification as a respiratory therapist in Kansas City, Mo. He was a physical fitness enthusiast who was also proficient in martial arts such as Korean hapkido. He believed in living his life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling, learning about people and the martial arts. He lived in Huntington Beach, Calif.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Irving, Texas; Fayetteville; and Shreveport, La., in addition to other stops while building his career. He was originally diagnosed with cancer more than 20 years ago and spent the final two decades of his life fighting the disease. Despite the physical toll cancer took, it never dampened his outlook on life.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one son, Charles Russell, of Shreveport, La.; a sister, Billie Lou Hensley, of Gravette.

Cremation arrangements were by Westfield Chapel Funeral Home. No services were held.

Marvin Van Noy

Marvin Van Noy, 72, died Jan. 19, 2021, at his home in Gravette.

He was a retired U.S. Marine and a retired postal supervisor in the Pomona, Calif., post office after 30 years. He moved to Arkansas in 2015 to enjoy the quiet country life and be closer to his family. He loved fishing and visiting with his friends at the local auction.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Van Noy; his son, Jason Van Noy (Shelley) of Upland, Calif.; his son, Eric Van Noy (Heather) of Upland; his daughter, Randi Van Noy of Gravette; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Munger of Gravette; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6, at 1 p.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel in Bella Vista.
