Paula Stanton Hackworth

Paula Stanton Hackworth, 76, of Gravette, died Friday, June 18, 2021, at her residence.

She was born April 20, 1945, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Avice Etoile Somers and Roy Eli Stanton. She was a teacher and worked at the Gravette Care and Share for many years. She lived in the area for more than 30 years, moving from Tulsa, Okla. She was a sponsor for Love-A-Child for six years, sponsoring children in Haiti. She loved growing her flowers and working in her vegetable garden and enjoyed bird-watching. She attended the River of Life Evangelism of Bella Vista and the Assembly God Church of Gravette for many years.

She was preceded in death by her eldest brother, Paul; her parents; her husband, Harry Lee Hackworth in 1990; her daughter, Dr. Leai Hackworth Ehresman; and her brother, Noel Warren Stanton.

A celebration of her life will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 25, at Epting Funeral Home Chapel located in Gravette. Inurnment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, located in Emporia, Kan., at a later date.
