OCH celebrates National Hospital Week with Tiki-Riffle theme

GRAVETTE -- Ozarks Community Hospital has announced it is proudly joining hospitals and health systems across the U.S. in celebrating National Hospital Week from May 8-14.

The national recognition week serves as an opportunity to acknowledge and emphasize the significant impact that hospitals have on the communities they serve. It also offers the chance for these health systems to unite to commend one another for the vital work they do as front-line workers.

"Ozarks Community Hospital looks forward to this week every year! This is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate all of our team members within our hospital and the 16 clinic locations who work to fulfill our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the many communities we serve," Amanda Gittlein, hospital development and community outreach program director, said.

OCH commemorates the annual occurrence by coming up with a unique theme and plans a week filled with fun activities to show appreciation for employees. This year's Tiki-Riffic Hospital Week has a tropical theme. Activities planned during this week include a lip-sync battle, a fun run, and a special visit from Kona-Ice.

"These past few years have been difficult for all of us. It is my hope that this Hospital Week allows for employees to take a break and enjoy some fellowship with their teammates while reflecting on how far we've come over the past year," Gittlein said.
