Third Thursdays to begin April 18

GRAVETTE -- A spokesman for the Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce has announced that the group has decided to continue its Third Thursday events. The first Third Thursday celebration will be held this week, on April 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Main Street will not be blocked off as in past celebrations but will be left open for traffic so business owners and customers there can conduct business as usual. Some will stay open later than usual.

Vendors will be set up in Kindley Park. There is no charge for booth set-up space. Booths of all types are welcome, including those selling items, arts and crafts booths, informational booths or organizations with fundraising projects.

Having the vendors located in the park will provide a variety of playground equipment where children can play while their family members shop.

"This will be a great event for organizations to set up for fundraising or businesses to tell everyone about your business," said Sundee Hendren, GGCC treasurer. "We hope this year will be even bigger than last year!"

Third Thursdays will continue through October.
