Gravette First Assembly to show movie

Gravette First Assembly of God Church will show the movie, "The Passion of the Christ," on Friday evening, March 22. The public is invited to the showing, which begins at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 1108 N.W. Main Street. A nursery will be provided.

Gravette spring cleanup set

Gravette's spring cleanup has been set for March 18-23, according to an announcement by Gravette city officials. Dumpsters will be available on the old bus barn property from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday of that week and from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday or until the dumpsters are full. Use of the dumpsters at the Charlotte Street location is restricted to residents within the city limits. Proof of residency is required. Eligible persons may use the dumpsters at no cost. No tires, electronics, flammable liquids, paint or coolant are allowed. Anyone desiring more information may call Gravette City Hall at 479-787-5757.

Highfill Easter egg hunt

Highfill will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, in the City Park.

DAG Easter 'Eggstravaganza'

Decatur Assembly of God, located at 675 N. Main Street in Decatur, will host its annual "Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza" at 1 p.m. on March 30. This event is for children ages 0-12 and will have five divisions and hunting areas, including an area designated for children with special needs. There will be over 10,000 eggs to hunt, including prize eggs and grand prize eggs in each division. The community is welcome and invited to attend.

Gentry Easter egg hunt set for March 30

The annual Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Gentry Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, on the south side of Gentry City Park. Gentry chamber to hold town hall

The Gentry Chamber of Commerce will host a town hall community meeting at 6:30 p.m. on April 9 in the McKee Community Room at Gentry Public Library. Awards, such as Business of the Year and Volunteer of the Year, will be presented. Award nominations are being accepted. Gem & Mineral Society to hold spring show

The Northwest Arkansas Gem & Mineral Society of Siloam Springs will hold its annual spring gem, mineral and jewelry show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at the National Guard Armory, 1333 Lincoln Street in Siloam Springs. The show will feature gems, minerals, fossils and jewelry. There will be displays and exhibits, lapidary demonstrations, a silent auction, a gem wash, and door prizes. The gem wash trailer, which was absent last year due to mechanical problems, will be back. Customers can purchase a small bag of dirt and wash it out in the water flume to find fossils, various rocks, gemstones, and all manner of fun things that rockhounds find when they go out and dig up their finds. Highfill Arbor Day-Spring Tree Giveaway

Highfill will hold its Arbor Day-Spring Tree Giveaway on Friday, April 19, from 8 a.m. until the trees are gone in the Highfill City Park.

Tired Iron to hold spring show

The bi-annual Tired Iron of the Ozarks antique engine and tractor show is set for Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, at the club's showgrounds, 13344 Taylor Orchard Road in Gentry. The show features old tractors and engines, a working sawmill and blacksmith's shop, a swapmeet, and displays, demonstrations, and a parade of power each noon. The event will be held rain or shine. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission and parking are free.

Gentry Food Pantry open on Tuesdays

GFA Pantry, located at the Gentry Assembly, 821 East Main Street in Gentry, is open every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Clients are asked to call or text 662-727-5157 for an appointment or email [email protected]. They will receive meat, dairy, fresh produce, canned and boxed goods, and occasionally household/cleaning products. Clients may park in the parking lot and enter the building to get signed in and receive their goods. Each family can come once a month. There are no restrictions based on where a client lives.

Radio Club holds Thursday meetings

The Bella Vista Area Radio Club holds monthly meetings at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at ALETA, the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. All radio amateurs and others interested in acquiring an FCC license are invited. The meeting location is at 3424 S. Downum Road in Springdale. FCC License exams are administered at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month at the Bella Vista Police Department at TowneCenter and also at 10 a.m. at the Springdale Museum of Ozark History. Friends of Library book sales

Friends of the Gravette Public Library book sales will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of each month at the Friends book sale room, 407 Charlotte Street S.E. (old library building). Enter through the east door.

Sulphur Springs Library open

The Sulphur Springs Library is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The library has more than 7,000 items available for checkout, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, games and puzzles. Membership is free for anyone with a Benton County address.

Kiwanis Meetings held Fridays

Gravette Kiwanis Club meetings are held at 7 a.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month in the annex building next to the cafeteria at Ozarks Community Hospital and are open to the public. Members are asked to park in the back parking lot and enter through the back door. Breakfast will be provided.

Sulphur Springs Museum to open

The Sulphur Springs Museum reopened Saturday, March 9, and will be open on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lions Club meets Tuesdays

Gravette Lions Club meets at 12:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center. Lunch is available. Visitors are welcome.
